Snow in old Lincolnshire!Got up at 6am to do the horses & sheep, and there were like an inch of snow!!
I could have got some corking pics, because no cars had been through the village at that time, but me camera don't do very good in the dark.
It's still snowing now, I'll get pics later!
A bloke about 2 miles away who works with dad, he had 4 inches of snow on his van

I remember the first snow of the year in Glasgow.
I was always so funny.
They wouldn't clear the roads in time so the snow would get crushed into ice and their would be cars sliding everywhere.
People keyholes in their car doors frozen up and of course for some reason most people keep the de-icing spray in their car.

We got about 2 inches of snow yesterday and it is still flurrying this morning. Worst thing we have though is bitterly cold temperatures...it is ZERO F this morning for the second day and it makes the snow crunchy to walk on. I just got in from walking the dogs and they were glad to get back inside to thaw out their paws.
James, sounds like bloke who got 4 inches near you must be some sort of record...I thought the UK rarely got much of any snow.

It's snowing here in Milton Keynes now (central England), but very lightly at the moment. My thermometer says it's 1.6 degrees C outside, but I'm not going out to check!

... here in town, we've been given a powdering of snow, turned into slush in no time. Now it's just bleedin' cold.
In the mountains, a 16 year old girl froze to death on her way back from a new year's party, 20 metres from her home.

Yes, Weather radar was full of snow this morning, and when I was about to start up the helicopter here at Inverness to melt the light ice on the rotor blades we got hit with a snow shower and temperature went down below zero!
Tony - Surprised your roads were not cleared around Battlefield as they used to target the hospital areas and main routes first (Victoria Infirmary still has an A&E department at present). And I always have one of those small de-icer sprays for door locks in my pocket or in the house, as when I worked in Aberdeen we had some great snow and ice with temperatures down to -25degrees C. Of course they now do heated keys for that reason on some cars.
We could do with some nice snow falls as the mountains up here are still mainly the brown Autumn colours at present, and not the wonderful white colour from snow.

A couple of weeks ago there were several Railroad Snowplow Videos posted someplace on the forum. One was a Rotary, Originally Steam converted to Diesel, but still puts on quite a show

We got snow in Miami too so's don't you guys think you are exclusive
| Quote: | January 19, 1977
Old Man Winter paid an unwelcomed visit to residents of Miami, Florida (yes, Florida, not Ohio)
and brought along a surprise gift -- snow!
For the first time in the history of the extreme south of Florida,
snow danced through the air and dusted the ground briefly.
A quarter century later, the scene has not been repeated.

It's all we got, but try and cycle up them, and they will be a lot higher than you think Especialy because they didn't use hairpins in the road, they just go straight op.
