My father in Law is 75 years old and not the tech oriented man.
He got a computer 10 years ago and was able to start on email and basic use of a cellular. After a brief brain vascular problem that fortunately was solved satisfactorily, he gave up on his computer. Keeps the cellular only. We recommended not to use a smart touch screen one but a normal regular one. Fortunately his model has got quite big screen numbers. My wife pays her bills via internet since. An iPad would be a big source of stress for him but I am sure that due to the big screen and tactile interface he may ended using it after a few weeks. Convince him to purchase one would be a challenge
