Hi
What a fine collection.
I like the first engine very much. Do you know who the manufacturer is?
About the Wilesco D40 TE....
Is there a blue or a yellow label at the front?
Do you know what thread the savety valve has? M5 or M6?
I would like to see some videos especially from the small engine at the top.

D'you mean the very, very first one, because I think you'll find that that's a harbro/toytown flyer. Am I right?

Harbro Toytown SteamerThe Harbo Toytown steamer actually came in a Selfridges box (see Picture)
It needs a little bit of lubrication (like me!), so before i steam it up i want to give it a bit of TLC. I will get back to you on that.

The Wilesco D40 has a yellow label and an M6 thread on the safety valve. What is the significance of that ?

This is based on a GWR loco, not sure what class, but I love it!

Looks like a model of a BR 9F.
What gauge are these? 32mm or 45mm?

Too bad the picture area so tiny, the couple that I can see are real nice

that Marine plant will come up a treat, only needs a polish by the looks of it. great boiler, but you'll need a burner.

The chassis is 750mm long front to back. I am not sure where you measure for the guage so i took a picture for you (i'm only learning !)

That's bigger than I thought it would be, looks like 3 1/2" gauge. Is the GWR loco the same gauge?

I beleive it is an LBSC design...

It is interesting because it is a rather early model of the D40. Still with the D36 SR front but with the long canopy. The first D40 had the short D36 SR canopy. I have a rather similar one but it has a M5 safety valve. Strange isnīt it? The sticker at the front is missing and I am unsure if the first stickers were blue not yellow.
Habro? Never heard about that manufacturer. Every day one can learn something new. I like the llok of that small engine very much.

I have another "old Smokey", I will be collecting it in a few weeks. Its green and in much better condition. My Uncle bought it new around 1975. I will show you pictures when i collect it. what year is my D40 ??
The "Toytown Flyer" box says it was manufactured in England by "Dixon Plastics".
