Some Wilescos

I got these lot of EKT and Wilescos some weeks ago. A good price and 10km away from where I live, so I couldn't resist.

The D10 is one of the earlier versions from the mid 1950's.
The D16 needed some work, it was missing a few parts and the engine base needed repainting. It has now ended up like this:

And I had it running for the first time today

Stitch1615

Nice take.
That is one smooth running engine at the slow speed.
Nice job.
benchmark

They are from the good old batch, well done.
MrDuck

I thought they were too new for you but they certainly look good
Erwin45

They are in GOOD condition
Wallace

That's the type of Wilesco I would like. Well done
Bugsy

Very nice, Peter!
Welcome to the club.

Celsius 100

Both look very good for their age.The D16 idles well and runs smoothly enough at speed.
Swift Fox

Two nice grey based ones there.

The water tray seems to be missing on most engines, and I guess can be hard to find. I took the water tray from a scrap D8 and soldered the mounting holes in it to get a solid tray.

This is dangerous, now I crossed the barrier for buying Wilesco's, so I will not get any peace until I got myself a D32
The Denying Dutchman

A handsome pair.

The old tin plate trays are very hard to find, but the newer plastic trays do fit the older models also.
I have also a grey based D16, great engines, great runners.

Engines

What's with the sudden surge of steam engines being uncovered in Sweden of late. First there was Bugsy and his steam wagon, now Peol and his recent acquisitions. Have they all been buried under drifts of snow so deep that only the onset of global warming has uncovered them?

What's with this myth that Sweden is always buried in snow?
Have a look through this lot and eat your heart out.

Been out digging in the snow and uncovered yet another engine.

Bugsy

It looks to be in excellent condition, Peter.
Those old Tranås engines don't come up so often.
