SM...what can I say...beautiful work, functional work and something you have got to be very proud of. As for James...well, he a stunning "figure" of a lad to be sure!!!

Congrats again...as a tinkerer myself, I have nothing but admiration for anyone who can do what you have done...bravo.

Nice, one of the best modifications I have seen yet!!! I wish I had sound on this computer, now I can't guess the song
Chris

Brought a tear to my eye lad. Not sure if it is because we are all so darn proud of you, or because I was laughing at the captions!

It is really great to see it running, and it will still get better as the leaks are fixed and the piston has run in.

Fantastic project.
MTA

Is the music from Pirates of the Caribbean?

Your vids always make me laugh Alun! Now, you must, when you have enough material, compile it onto a DVD
Wallace

for some reason the music makes me think of Crimson Tide

that is a hellfire submarine film

the engine looks like its achieving loads of revs, if you do any more films soon could they please be filmed from the cylinder side so we can see it all whirring away?
SillyBilly

If I wore a hat I would take it off to you.

Amazing bit of work, can't wait to see it with the dynamo and all lights blazing.
bessytractor

where is that music actually from?
Spokey

Amazing - and of course, you will let us know exactly how you did it so we can all make one ... won't you

Can't wait to see it running "properly" with the actual sound of it

Well done, inspirational I must say - and really good music too. - mind, you could have faded it and put the Benny Hill theme on the end for the yellowbelly ....

Spokey

I'm glad you all enjoyed the video and shared in my pride in the thing actually working!
My next stage is to re-rivet the boiler as there seems to be a leak from them, and to glue the sightglass in place with some pretty funky heatproof glue I found. After that I'll run another test to see if it is a pressure issue that stops it running after a few seconds.

As soon as it works satisfactoraly I will sketch out some plans and post them on the boards so you lot can make one for yourselves and iron out all the flaws I made!

And since no-one got it, I will give away where the music was from:
Steve Jablonsky, 'Transformers' movie score, track: Arrival to Earth

Thought it seemed appropriate with it 'being alive' and all
