SP boilers are painsI hate fixing SP range boilers.
I've got a Mamod SP4 that had a bung whistle bush.
I've fixed that now but have been struggling to resolder the end cap on tonight.
What I really hate is you can't check you have got it steam tight until you put the sight glass back on and if you havent you have to drill the rivets back out to resolder.
I think I've got it all soldered up now but not going to fit the sight glass until tomorrow.
As a warning to everyone else, run a mile away from any Mamods that have a sight glass on them that are riveted if any boiler work is needed to be done as it will drive you mad.

I always run round the edge on the Sp boilers, That way you know 100% its been fully soldered!

Yes thats what I did but I must of not cleaned the edge properly as at first it did not want to take the solder in a couple of spots, but I think I've got it now.
