SR1 Challenger VideoFinally did a Challenger Video today.
Ignore any odd noises in the background. It's my bird (not the missus), and daugther.
Hope you enjoy it

Great video and thanks for posting it. (see Les, it's easy to do )
The steam shooting stright down was a favorite of mine too.

Cheers guys.
I'll have to try it in the winter time so the steam is more effective.

Great video mate!
When on full throttle its more steady on its feet than the TE probably because of the wheels! Runs just as smooth though and great to see

Wallace, ya can't ask much more than that...she behaved very well under all conditions. I do like the more realistic speed they travel at than typical TE.
Overall, you have a winner!

That's great Wallace. She's certainly a good runner!

Nice to see wallace. Certainly runs differently to the oscillator type, smoother and quieter.
You need a heavy trailer to put behind it, I bet it would pull a fair load.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm very happy with the way it runs.
Griffin, I agree. I think it would pull a fair load. So I've just added another "thing to make" on my meccano list. Already got 3 project going
When it's mobile it's ticking over a tad faster than what it's running in the slow part of the stationary vid.
Thanks again

Thanks for sharing this video with us Wallace.
Like all the other engines with these valve cylinders, it is really missing the exhaust steam up the chimney.
Interesting to see how much vibration it has at full throttle, as your burner and scuttle were rattling around.
Can these go backwards as well?

Oh yes. Just flip the flywheel in the opposite direction. i
