very nice, Ive just come in from steaming mine I like the SR1 as its my 1st Mamod, but I've bought a SR1a off ebay, and am looking for a donor TE1a to have a go at making a long boiler Roller I keep looking at the Mamod Hercules am vey tempted but our lass will chop me things of if I even think about it I darent tell her about my slush fund LOL

Same problem here, Simon. I'm trying to smuggle a roundhouse locomotive into the house in bits, a little every couple of months. My plan is to leave the small bits, pistons, rods, screws, etc, in the "junk" drawer, one at a time until she gets used to them without knowing what they are, then one day I will put the engine together and say, look dear, what I made with all those bits of junk in the drawer!...

I do like your work- that scuttle has a nice line to it- Bet Mamod would have done it that way if it was the same cost to have manufactured it either way.
