get a axle-drivin feed pump put onto my oldest steam plant.

engineer to look at Petrie steam societies' model steam engine- (needs a minor repair to flywheel)
johnreid

I think that I will enjoy running mine, hopefully I will get some additional accessories to run with my Engines.
Mister Occlusion

come into a windfall and then badger Jensen for a model 50

...and while I'm dreaming in technicolour, there're a few other things too...
johnreid

Well heck, if I win the Lotto I could have all kinds of plans

Build myself my first scrach built toy steam engine once my workshop is finished and I have a lathe.

Badgering Jensen for a model 50 is wasted energy. The number of past email requests I have on file, just to get on a nonexistent waiting list  would scare Tom to death. If he reinstated them today, one "might" make it onto such a list in about 8 or 9 years. Even I can't get a new model 50 ... and trust me, I've tried. You'd be shocked at how easily recognized some of the powerful names I've had to tell "no" are.

To get A toy steam engine, that's my goal!

I won't be disheartened by a mishap out of the box.

I did make a video, real-time, of the box opening.
It's sort of funny, perhaps, because the nasty outdoor cat was there to supervise.

I took my very life in my hands, patronizing the cat that way.
Lucky I was not clawed.

Video uploading now--to be put in the appropriate thread.

Merry Xmas to all and to Tony, a new and working workshop wished,
granted.

Edison said, and I must paraphrase from memory,

Nothing worthwhile works right the first time, all by itself, just to please you;
you've got to make the damned thing work.

LOL

They need to work first.
I'm also hoping at some point to set up to cast aluminium and if that works I will be able to offer the parts for both the stationary and mobile Wells engines as I have the patterns for both of them.

our 2008  wish is to finnish our garden railway and have a great trip back to the old dart and visit some steam friend and steam museums

Yeah I know, Steve

But like I always say: I can always dream, and dreaming's free.

Best I can probably hope for is to find an orphaned engine unit that I can lash up to 2 or 3 3inch boilers

Reid: Love the quote.  Never heard it before.  Dovetails nicely into mine
This mean you got your engine?
Or were you practicing the opening sequence by boxing up and then unwrapping the cat ?

No real plans but running my Locos more I think will be one.

I didn't plan to buy anything this year and my collection has certainly grown - not sure how really
