Just imagine it... Jensen engines going to SITA 2008, after all these years. Go on admit to it... someone is going to do it, if only to drive a particular anti Jensen individual completely off his nut...
Steve

Mister Occlusion
|
Anyone who is anti-Jensen is already off his nut...

That wouldn't be a certain person who refered to Jensens with the 'M' word would it?
|
Chris
|
Just found the website. Does the event really only last for 4 hours?
http://www.fcrammond.clara.net/stiainvitation.htm
I had assumed it would be an all day event, possibly a two day event.

I`ll be there, as usual. Just looking.
Anyone given any thought to I/D badges?

Afraid so chris!
Well worth it though

I wouldn't miss it for the world! I've hatched a plan with John Chapman and local steamer friend Paul to do a joint exhibition....I'll certainly take a couple of boats, and between us we have a fine selection of Mersey engines.

Eee well now I worked out I'll be lambing 5th March on the earliest ( ) so it looks definate.
|
James

Eeee, I might take the little stove we have, and a pan, some bread buns, and some PROPER Lincolnshire Sausage (best around!) and cook them up for the members if ya want?

I'll be there.... fourth year for me. I agree, it's too short and it should be all day, but as MM said its well worth the trip.
|
Garratt100

It is certainly a short day!!
I'm hoping to go with a few of the Mamod collection & have a bit of a steam, but the show diary is getting pretty full for next year already with 11 exhibitions lined up for 'Ttarrag Shed' - hope to fit it in though!
Chris.

Is there going to be a "forum" table, like last year?
I'll have to have a think about what to bring - any preferences?

I'd say there will be Roly!!
I plan on ringing Fred to arrange something in the near future!!

Forum TABLES!
We needed a job lot to get the stuff on last year now with more people coming we'll all have to squeeze on
Will be a cracking show!
|
Minor1PJG
|
TableS for sure. Simon, Andy and I easily fill two, three or more tables when we display at Amberley!!
Now Chris is an avid steamer I think he will need a table just for him (especially when that Wilesco Roller comes!!)

We only have about 6 in total and that was last year when there were less of us
Will have to shuffle things about, maybe add more tables but that's not my job.

remmber you dont have to take everything, its not a competition to see how many engines the forum has, how about a theme to the Forum Stand, Mobiles or Just Mamods or Bomans or Stationeries. Just a thought.

I had to go back to work from 10pm until 1am and we have this annoying law called 'Driving under the influence' and for some reason they are big on enforcing that law on Friday night.

I don't understand the game at all i'm afraid
Football, get the ball and stick it in the net. Simple

Rugby is a proper game, I'll tell thee that for nowt!
|
Minor1PJG

Good man James - I knew you'd understand!!
|
James

Yeah, doing it in Games at school next term (about 2 or 3 weeks). I love it!! Great excuse to nail people who give you jip all through the year
I were in the school team but I quit cos you had to play on Saturdays
I have the 2nd best kick on me in the whole of year 10 (about 150 people LOL)
|
Minor1PJG

I agree - the perfect excuse to rough up all those toads that only pretend to be 'hard' when in a group!!. Get them on the rugby pitch and flatten them - well that's what I did ..... whilst still coming top in chemistry and making all the girls laugh (it's funny how the ol' memory can play tricks!!).
Should be a good game tomorrow in Paris.

We didn't have rugby at our school and had to make do with hockey. But at least we had weapons. Used to play mixed games too.
|
James
|
LMAO!!
You sound exactly the same as me!!!
People give you jip cos they think they hard. You deck them in a classroom and they can dob you in. You deck them on a rugby pitch and "accidently" stud their head when they are on the floor, it's alreet!!
I get decent grades in class, aiming for GcSE A* in maths and other subjects, and a massive D in RE
And girls? Urgh. If it weren't for them and violance, school would be boring!!
|
James
|
Our school goes:
Boys:
Football
Rugby
Cricket
Athletics
We have like a 90 minute lesson every thursday
Then on a friday we have a 35 minute period of fitness, sprinting etc.
Girls:
Hockey
Netball
All the other puffy games where you don't get mucky
|
Minor1PJG
|
Sounds like we went to the same school!!
Are you the sort of chap that sits at the back of the classroom because it's cool and the teacher won't see you, or the sort that sits at the front knowing that the teacher won't be watching you because he's looking at the children at the back??
I'll let you guess which I was.
Glad to hear you're working hard. Education gives you the chance to make decisions about your furure!!
|
James
|
Yeah!!!
I always sit at the front!!!
And right, we were doing this practical in Biology last year, and I had me hand down me trousers. And she looked at me, took me to one side, and said "Right James, you're banned from doing practicles til the end of year 9. I DO NOT EXPECT YOU TO BE PLEASURING YOURSELF IN MY LESSON!"
I were like LMFAO
She got in a right 2 and 8!

Hmmmm, rugby. I no longer have to do it, but my tactic last year was to run away from the ball, I'll stick to trains for my exercise.......
|
James

I get it, cob it under my left arm, stick my elbow out in front of me, and run as fast as I can at the oppostition, and then knock them over, if they tackle me, I boot them one, and peg it to the try line and score
