STIA2010 Invitations and Application Forms

Before everybody starts getting agitated the timetable for application forms for  2010 is approximately as follows:

Tomorrow, Monday, I will post out invitations and application forms to last STIAs exhibitors. Second Class Mail.

About a week later I will send email invitations and forms to all those I have on file. Plus snail mail invitations to selected others from my files.

A couple of days later I will post application forms to the website and issue a general invitation via the two Fora and the relevant discussion groups.

Any problems?  Contact me.

Why not just post the form on the web (and/or here) ?

Looks like that is all part of the plan, Wonder how the forum table will end up being taken care of this year, it needs to be bigger yet.

Yes.... it looks that way. Is this pre announcement to last years participants due to space limitations and hence the desire to take care of past supporters of the event? If so, it makes sense. I, having not had the pleasure of attending, am unfamiliar.

Space is at a premium, the place is crowded and so very full of cool stuff. The day of the event is busy and crowded, but so much fun. A great time to see so many great Steam Toys and maybe even buy one, Not only was the Big Shed full, but the Pumping Station itself has exhibitors on three levels im the pump house.
Do a forum search for threads that followed last years event as many posted photos and there is Sandmans DVD too.
I do think that it is admirable, not only the work that Fred does, but the courtesy towards previous and regular exhibitors.

I have Sandy's films for two years and it looks like an absolute smashing great time.

I like to give my previous exhibitors first chance at the space available.

I just got mine late this afternoon.

I'll post it back first thing in the morning Fred, but god knows when you'll get it with this strike going on.

Thanks Fred

He has to do that as some of us (well me rearly) are getting a little absent minded in our old age and can never remember to post the beloved thing.
fcrammond

I've been having serious problems with the computer recently which is why the STIA website has not had a downloadable application form for STIA2010.  I've finally managed to bodge up a temporary frontpage to tide things over for the time being

www.stationarysteamengines.co.uk/stia

so if there is anyone out there anxious to get their app form in it is now possible

Sorry for the delay.

Fred

As you will know the 2010 application form contains a section for your forum identity.
For the record the following Forum members have submitted application forms by today.(It's not a deadline just an information point)
SteamyJim
James
Made-in-England
Jay-Minor
Les
Pauly
Sandy
Roly Williams
Wilescoman
Paparod
Swiftfox
Mooseman
Dr Rog

If you feel you should be on this list, ie have sent off an application more than a couple of days ago, email me pronto either via a pm or at       fcrammond@hotmail.com

Incidentally not all the above have asked to be on the Forum Table so things will not be as crowded as it might appear.

If you haven't sent off a form remember the closing date for appearance in the guide etc is 1st January. You have been warned!!

Fred
Wandering-Willie

does everyone get one sent off?
cheers
allen
fcrammond

I'm not sure I follow you but if you mean does everyone get an application form the answer is no. I send forms to previous exhibitors and potential exhibitors who have contacted me directly.
Otherwise you need to visit the website:
www.stationarysteamengines.co.uk/stia

Cheers

fcrammond is a member so technically he should be on that list Where would he be if there wasnt someone looking out for him, we dont want him feeling left out do we?
Atticman

Mamodman123

I understand he is fitting his vehicle with additional antitheft devices as a precautionary measure against the rapacious citizenry of "Lesta". The bad news is that we are expecting a significant number of itinerants from Lincolnshire on the day
Mamodman123

Might remove my own wheels and put it on bricks. But then someone will steal my bricks   I can't win
johnreid

Why bother fitting anti theft devices, with a Fiesta all it takes is a can opener
Mamodman123

I might suprise you all and turn up in a Chevrolet Biscayne

There's brave.

will i be invited?
