He was joking that's why he had the laughing icon after it, the other people that had posted before that got it was a joke as you can tell from their replys after it, how come you couldn't?

I have been tinkering in the workshop today with a basic version of the ski-lift for STIA, the one i hope to build for STIA will have a mamod lineshaft (so any engine can drive it) with a nice clean (not rusty) Meccano geatbox on a varnished wood base with the edges planed
Then for the pulleys at the end they will be mounted on to lenghts of varnished wood and clamped onto something (im using a step ladder at the moment )

Got any pictures Jim as a ski-lift is something different and would look great is done right.
How big are you going to make it?
|
steamyjim
|
That would be useful, the length of the hall
I have no pics of it because i was building it in me grandads workshop
Ill do a paint thing of my idea later

So it could be esbit fired then.
|
steamyjim
|
Imagine the size of the Esbit tablets
|
SillyBilly

It's oil fired, and it does have a driver, you'd never get insurance for a steam loco without a driver. Plus there is a lot of firing required with oil.
|

OH OK, from what id heard it didnt have one, maybe that was the American one
