I love hearing the roar of a Spitfire!

When I hear the BoBMF coming over all the hairs stand up on back of me neck

Would be at Waddington airshow next weekend, 1st airshow that the Vulcan's flying at, BUT saturday - wedding/sunday - hangover

Last September two Mustangs flew over the house. I have seen Spitfires too.

Still not confirmed yet, as the necessary Permit to Fly & Display Authorisation certificates are still awaited from the CAA.

Spitfire is my favourite all-time aeroplane, and I almost got a flight in a 2 seater one in Florida. Unfortunately it had just been sold before my arrival, and the new owner was arguing about the number of rivets, etc. So the flying school that organised the flights had to stop any further bookings. I did get to touch it, and look at some others that were being restored to flying condition.

A credit to the Midlands designer (forget his name) who sadly never got to see the success of his design
