Thanks John, I took them with the US members in mind, they were so well built, G guage I think, so pretty big
Sometimes we dont realise how lucky we are round here really,
This weekend Tewkesbury show and Stroud- 20 miles apart.
Last wekend Lister Petter Rally, The ralley Les was at and the black country Museum Ralley- all within an hour from me, Lister ralley 15 mins away
In a few weeks theres the Kemble steam show- 20 mins away, and theres also been a smaller show 3 weeks ago 10 mins away.
In 4 weeks its our local village show, and theres always a TE full size and a display of clockwork railway engines
Then theres the great Dorset steam fair- massive and yet 1 1/2 hours away at the end of August/ early September
Theres bound to be others nearby as well
Les- Stavros wasnt there so it was fairly easy
Wish I had got a pic of the dalek moving, it was very good

Stroud Show LocomotivesHi,
Identification of some of the locomotives at the Shroud Show.
The Green tram engine was made by Peter Angus and is modelled on a locomotive possbly used in Java.
See attachment.
First Cracker a loco with a single cylinder single acting engine.
Second a De Winton loco designed by Dave Watkins and fitted with an Aderyn Steam Motor.
Third another Dave Watkins designed De Winton with standard engine.
Fourth a Peter Angus De Winton.
Fifth a Mamod convertion to a Guinness loco.
Sixth a very rare left handed Darlek. Which came about after assembling with electric motor fitted that what ever the two things that stick out from the body were fitted the wrong way around.
Regards Tony.

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum, many thanks for the ID there, It was a very impressive display, the First Cracker loco with a single cylinder single acting engine went like the clappers
I am sure many of us would be interested in more pics on your engines, and how they were done- I loved Toucan, very good Mod that was
Was the Sunday well attended, as apparently numbers were a bit down on Sat?

Tony,
Could you please tell me how you converted a Mamod loco into a William Spence Guinness Loco?
That is if you were the chap responsible for a lovely conversion.

Locomotive queriesHi,
Cracker. Designed by Ernest Glaser in 1996. Has the minimum of equipement , only goes forward no regulator, safety valve or lubricator. Excess pressure is relived by the cylinder lifting off its port block at 25PSI. Commercial parts used wheels(IPE), gears(Hobby's) steam dome (22mm stop end) and burner head from a pencil torch. Another is being made which has been waiting for gears which have now arrived it will have a regulator, lubricator and possibly a means of reverse. Simple and cheap to make drawings available from 16mmng egroup files section.
Regards Tony

Locomotive query 2Hi,
Toucan, a Mamod convertion about 20 years old used all the bits except for the cab and side tanks and needed an extra 6 wheels for its fly cranks. Recent discovered under the bench having not been used for many years alas at the show the boilers gauge glass failed not unusual on a Mamod that has a meths burner. Will need to get new glass and its seal or use a hard solered boiler.
Regards Tony.

Locomotive Query 3Hi,
The Darlek is a commercial product which has had a small electric chassis fitted to it as has the other Dr.Who character along side it. Both are used to entertain children visiting the local model clubs garden railway. The Dalek has 2WD the other is 4WD using Delron plastic gears connected by chains.
The show seemed busier on the Sunday than on previous years results not known.
Regards Tony.

Hi Tony and Welcome!
I do believe we may already have met, during my stay in Cardiff when I was at University 1993-1997.
It seems that I am slowly bumping into people of old via this forum!
Lovely locos!
