Stuart S50 informationI'm new to the forum and new to model steam engines and I need some help!
There are obviously many pipe and tube sizes available and many choices in fitting size and threads. I have no problem finding the fittings from several sites. In the US, probably PM research is the easiest. Problem is, where to start. I cannot find any information anywhere on what the inlet and outlet size/thread are for the S50 engine. I'm assuming it is factory made or at least built per plans. Anyone know?
Based on your experience is there a minimum pipe/tube size for piping an engine of this size?
Does anyone know how to tell the age of this model based on design changes over the years? mine has steps in the ends of the guide bars which i only see in a few pictures. Also mine apears to have some "beading" on the cast iron base around the perimeter of the base and the perimeter of the "Stuart" logo. see the attached picture.
Anyone know of some online drawing files for this engine? would love to find some. Im surprised i dont see any anywhere being this is such a common engine.
I thank you all for any help you can give me with these questions. With all the knowlege out there, someone knows!!!!
