TapHi. Does anyone have a 11/32" x 32tpi tap in their collection or know where I could get one.
I have seen them from the US but after postage it would cost me nearly £30 for one tap.
Cheers
Chris

Thread size and pitchDear Chris,
Are you sure the size and Tpi you gave are correct? It's certainly seems to be a very hard size to track down and so far I've seen only one use for such a size. What is the thread on that you wish to cut/restore etc?

RDGtoolsDear Chris,
The only company I can find that stocks a range of 32tpi taps and dies is RDG tools.See:
http://www.rdgtools.co.uk/acatalog/32TPI_TAPS_AND_DIES.html
However they do not list an 11/32 tap,the closest being 7x16 x32tpi which would be 14/32" in 32n'ds.

32 tpi is a common ME size but 11/32 is not a common size and certainly not used in ME.
I require the tap to make a nut for a clack valve.
Im not going to pay nearly £30 for a tap. I think the best thing to do will be make one

Are you sure it is 11/32" in diameter? Did you measure the thread you have with a dial caliper, or a ruler?
