TE1 "Flat Canopy" in all its Glory.

Well it’s taken me a while- as holidays and business trips seem to keep getting in the way.     But last night I finally gave it a good clean and polished the brass.

We are having a nice sunny day here in the south of England  , so I took advantage and shot off these post-cleaned shots. I hope you enjoy them as much as I like this engine, it’s now become my firm favourite in my collection.

My 1963 Mamod TE1 Nut and Bolter with grooved back wheels and the all important 1963 “Flat canopy”

Lewis

Man that looks good

A great engine you have there
Les

That looks very nice.
johnreid

I doubt it looked that good when it left the factory, top rate job there
steamyjim

That looks great mate
kusuchi

Great Looking TE1  Very nice condition.  Great set of photos.

How much cleaning did you have to do to get it to shine so beautifully.

It certainly is a beautifully preserved engine

At some point, it would be great to assemble the best preserved of every edition of the TEs for a Bible photo op.

About 10 min on the paintwork but about 30 min on the brass bits which are small and tricky Richard.

Remember Richard I still want your N&B TE when you need room on your shelf’s, It will be WELL looked after

But I still have two whole bookcases without a single engine on them.

Thanks for the kind words guys, but really I did very little, just a quick clean. It’s just a nice example, complete with box and all original accessories.

But glad you like it as much as I do.

I’m starting my website soon, so I will be asking a few of you in the coming months if I can use some images of your engines you have all posted in the last year or so (especially you Chris)
Nick

You did a great job polishing that one up.
Wallace

Looks great Kritika
oldstuff

What a lovely TE!
bessytractor

How did I miss this

No problem,

I wished I had entered this one in the engin of the month now not my "Old Glory" TE.

Hope your TE comes out close to the origional colour bessytractor. I you need more pics you can see them on my website.

There will be more months to come

I think the EOM is getting to be a higher standard to break.
Kritika

Very high standard John, there are some fantastic engines competing recently.
kusuchi

Assuming we survive the flat cap, I'll see you there.
