TE1a Ferris WheelI bought a new set of meccano as I had sold all my boyhood stuff
I bought the ferris wheel set:
http://www.meccano.com/products/special/product.php?ref=4038257
Slightly more multi-coloured than the meccano of my childhood, but not bad. The intention was to build the ferris wheel and run it from the TE1a. Unfortunately the kit didn't come with many pulleys, and the wheel went around a bit quick. So had to spend a bit of time on EBay buying some more meccano bits. Just put together a small pulley system and all went well. When I have had time to tidy things up a bit I will post a photo and maybe a video (although not sure how to do that yet).

I was looking at getting that set just for the large radius curved strips as they go for a fortune on ebay and I need 12 for my eifel tower and only have 5 at the moment.
Will be good to see the finished result.
Keep us informed

Posted a video in the video section. Bit dark, and still a bit bodged, but basically trying to prove I could get it running at a good speed.

Thats a good set, I've been tempted a couple of times to buy it, I think thats the one Chris has got and makes several good rides.

this is a great model and liz enjoys it greatly i did have to add pulleys but is best driven with a te1 rather than a te1a.
