Temporary Hose Clamp.A young man on this forum has had trouble with temporary push on hoses blowing off their connection.
I explained the traditional copper wire fixing by pm.
He has now asked me to post an explaination, with pics......
Twice around the pipe.
Twist tails together.
Tidy up if more permanent.

David, I have done that a hundred times over the years but NEVER thought to make a double loop (which would reduce chance of cutting thru the hose)  ...proves we old dogs can still learn new tricks.

Rog, for many years I did the same as everyone, once round, twist.
Petrol pipes creased & leaked from under the twist area.
After some thought, I decided two turns would give pressure all around the pipe.
Sometimes I worry about the depth of my thinking........

David, your thinking is just right...like I said, I've done it many, many times and never thought of such a simple improvement. We can all learn new things, that will be my stock approach from now on.
