as i already said soft solder is fine, i use it on most of my engine boilers.
i dont have any trouble using silver solder and the easy flo 2 is about the easiest to use, with the correct flux. the melting point on brass is somewhere between 850-1000 degrees there would be no problem using it. the main problem encountered is burn out where you get a section of the brass to hot and it burns through. a common cause of this is using a too fine flame. a large soft flame with a small diameter solder rod 1.5mm or 0.5mm helps matters
