Mirko, it runs just as nicely as it looks...that is a real gem. I love the steering wheel converted to a steam regulator, it works great!

Great runner as well as a looker.
An excellent idea.
Well done Mirko.

Yeah, thank you all!
It ran very well, steamed up quite fast.
Runs very smooth, without that typical clattering....
The only thing to watch out is the exhaust pipe...the sound intensifier
If it fills up, the condense water and oil get caught by the steam jet and spat out
It also spills a lot around because of the cylinder's position.
But that's it, otherwise a good vehicle.
Althougt the red paint is not heat resistant it does not burn off (phew...)

It's still steam powered, and hence a traction engine. I thought before I saw the video that it had an internal combustion engine!

Another brilliant touch is the steering wheel recast as the throttle handle.
It's too cool. Too coooool!

That's great, I really like the look of the 'muffler' on the engine.
A very well done unique conversion. (or is that Konversion )

I had a little re-built on my wilesco tractor.
I did not like the exhaust, because it spilled all over with water and oil. All the stuff was running down the "muffler", down the boiler and onto my floor.
So i made a littke cup-thing.
I just soldered it onto the screw wich was plugged in the boiler.
So i can screw the whole thing off if i like.
So now all the condense water ran very nicely down into the condensewater tray
Maybe you will also notice that i painted the last bit f it black, too.
The front steering party was blue before, now black painted (to match the rest of it)
I also painted the frontcap again (because i scratched it when trying to get that steering part off)
Then i wanted to give the front a last touch: i scratched off the black paint from the outter rim and the "wilesco" logo.
I hope you like it.

That looks really good, and I like the way you stopped at the end with the camera.

Looks great Mirko!!!!!!!!!!
What about a vertical steering mechanism on the back of the tender now that theres no space underneath? Some early traction engines had it

What a runner...nice and smooth. My beloved would have my head on a stake in the front yard if I ever ran my tractor on the carpet.
