This came up on another thread somewhere here. Just about every sentence in the description is wrong in some way. I don't think he'll get his starting price.

Either crush your own or go to the bottom of any coal storage facility. Many serious scale models use scale sized coal in scale sized grates; along with scale sized shovels and irons!

Go along to any model engineering exhibition if you haven't been before - it's an eye-opener.

I used to crush coal and glue it onto the tenders of my HO locos. I was making another feeble attempt at humor, alas, feeble it was.

It made me laugh John

Was me who posted earlier - I emailed the seller with a picture of a newish one and suggested that that is what it would have looked like before someone took the bits off and painted it it dulux black with a yard brush and that it was without doubt the most wrecked TE1 I had seen for sale - I also suggested she might want to reduce her starting price by £94 !! but wished them good luck and said it had made me smile - she replied that she was glad I found it amusing.

Bit daft as nobody will pay that for it ( in their right mind anyway ) so they have wasted the cost of the auction really.

Want to here something scary....
I've seen a Te1a in worse condition on ebay.

It looked like someone had filled the meths burner with petrol and the following fireball had swallowed the whole engine.

But atleast they weren't asking £95 for it.
