Two new additions - More pics added!Drove up to Fribourg today on my annual pilgrimage to something called Retro Technica.
For a gadget freak like me, this is a small piece of heaven. A huge hall jam-packed with anything that's technical and old. You wouldn't believe the amount stuff there was for sale.

# measuring instruments
# clocks
# physical apparatuses
# household appliances
# medical instruments
# steam engines
# all sorts of motors

# barrel organs
# radios, radio communication and television sets
# records, record players and tape recorders
# technical models and toys
# Pinball machines
# optical appliances
# photo, film and video equipment
# electro technology
# electronics
# office machines and computers
# accessories
# tools and spare parts
# maintenance

# technology literature
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I picked up a couple of vertical engines. An almost mint Doll 320/3, and a small Bing (as yet unidentified). Both have their original burners.
The Doll (larger one on the right) looks as if it just came out of the shop window. Probably only fired a couple of times.
The smaller Bing is very complete, with a whistle and a steam regulator, but no water level gauge (have to be careful!)
There were other interesting engines, but I ran out of money.
Can't wait for next year.

Wow. That Doll looks mint. Even the wick is unused!
That event looks absolutely marvelous. I don't know of anything like that around here.

Two great looking uprights and I think the Bing is a 130/861 c1915.

Out of character for me, I know, but I'm seriously thinking of keeping the Doll 320/3 in it's present state.
It's a bit of a time capsule, and you don't find them in this condition very often.
Am I right in thinking that this is a later model?
Any ideas concerning value for something like this?
Here are some more shots........
Note the model number on the bottom.
