UL Sticker SORTEDI need a UL sticker for my Jensen 5 that I'm doing a little restoration on. I didnt take a pic before removing the sticker, and it wasnt in that good of shape to begin with.
I know that Someone (Rog Maybe ) Has made these stickers on the computer, I tried but I could not find a sticker on the internet to just copy
If someone just has a detailed pic of one, I can shrink it down and print it myself.

Ranger, sounds like Nick has you covered...
Stickers/decals come out best if printed to water slide decal paper (available on eBay)...then you spray varnish on them after the ink dries. Lastly cut out the sticker, soak in warm water and apply it to the surface. For longest lasting results, after the sticker has set on the surface for a day or so (to dry out)...varnish it with another coat applied with artists type small brush, sealing the edges and giving it a more scratch resistant finish.
Alternatively you can just print it out on printer paper (or photo paper is even better)...then varnish etc. Whatever you print it to, be sure to varnish it or the ink from printer will run when it gets wet.

A lot of the UL stickers were paper

Thanks Nick.
Rog, I'm going to print it out on Photopaper. That should give me some good results. I knew that you made it, I read about it on your website, however I just could not find it

Looks good Ranger....just be sure to varnish sticker, let it dry overnite THEN trim it and soak in water to apply. Lastly, coat it one more time in place with varnish to have a lasting decal.

Thanks rog, this is just HP advanced Photopaper. How will soaking it in water help me apply it? Or were you talking about the water slide decals?
I have plenty to make at least one good one

Oh...if just paper, DON'T soak in water, just coat with varnish to protect the surface.
If it were mine, I would varnish the whole sheet, then trim out a single sticker with scissors and glue it to the wood base. AFTER a day of drying, carefully varnish that sticker again with a small brush, so that edges get sealed as well.
Job done!

I'll do just that Rog I wonder if I could use the varnish as a glue to hold down the lable?

Will the varnish act as a solvent for the Ink Jet Ink?

I've sprayed on MinWax brand polyurethane with good results...also Clear Acetate spray. I've not had ink bleeding with either, but that was also on the proper decal paper...not sure about photo paper. You might try it on ONE separate from the rest as a test.
