Vacuum engine Fuel, choose the best for your engine
Mister Occlusion
Good comparative study. I've never read of anyone else commenting about fuels for these engines, and I can certainly see that you'd want something that is going to leave as little fouling as possible.
I'd probably use straight methanol for the (potentially) cleanest burn.

yes great comparison Bégé thanks for posting

My vacuum engines, run much better with the 95 % alcohol (Ethanol)
Bégé
The engine is much more "precise"

An excellent comparison test, thanks!
What kind of alcohol is in the cheaper product?
Is it the same alcohol but with more water?
Or is it isopropyl alcohol?
A clearer test could not be demonstrated.
Thanks again for your work to help us all.

Wow. You have a fine way with all machinery.
I bow and say "well done sir, superb!"

I do not know the "isopropyl",
alcohol 95 % is made with some ethanol or ethylic alcohol, the ethanol is some 100 % pure alcohol
OK, so the difference is in the water content.
The poorer fuel contains more water.
Yellow flame results due to the latent heat of water absorbing needed vaporization heat from the alcohol--
and alcohol is already difficult enough to vapourize!
