Wanted: boiler SORTED

Hi all,

Does anyone here have an SE3, Wilesco D16 or similar size boiler they'd part with? This is for a boat project. Preferably with firebox, fittings less relevant.

The Boxman engine needs to work!!! (see pics thread)

I think I may have a result with the boiler....

Would a Wilesco old smokey boiler work? Sorry, no firebox.

what kind of boat has a steam outboard Moose? would it be a toy boat like a Bowman?

Might be on the small side Ranger - thanks though!

Yes, I still have the hull which had the original mounted on - it's a "Mabel" type hull.

I don't know that style. Is it like a Pollywog? I never understood the appeal of the Pollywog, a very awkward looking thing to my eyes, with a weird name.

That's not to say that this creation won't be wonderful, yours always are. You have a very special and interesting engine there, I was tempted myself.

Miles, this is the hull, here still fitted with the original Clyde engine and an SE2 boiler. The rather naff cabin has already been removed, I'll probably kit it out as an open launch. The original Clyde engine is much too rare to go on the open water, and Boxman's copy is considerably more powerful (better gear ratio and a proper grooved and packed piston).

Looks like an SE3 boiler's in the bag, thanks to a very kind member (think flapjacks and you'll get the idea )

Oh yes, I remember that boat now.
I wonder about things being too rare to go on the water, my Stuart Torpedo Destroyer for example. Perhaps these items should only be used on water where thery're retrievable from the bottom.

I mostly sail my boats on Roath Park Lake, which is pretty murky and very deep in places.
