WeedenSteam WebsiteJust signed up, have dropped in here to check what's going on quite frequently. I have put up a Weeden site to try and fill the void of online information about the company and the engines they manufactured.
Several collectors have been very helpful, so far I have photos of over fifty different models. The site is still a work in progress, I still have to add information for most of the models.
I also collect Mamod engines, just had to get a MEC1 after seeing Mooseman's loco, it is on its way from the seller now.
My site is:

Nice site and it will be good to have something for Weeden engines as there isn't much in the way of an online resource.
You should join the toy steam webring too.
Just click on the join button in the webring panel at the bottom of every page on this forum.
I have the business parts of a 1905 Weeden Snowflake and if you want I can take photos of it for you.
Just a shame I don't have the boiler for it too.
Send me a PM if you want photos of this for your website.

Hi Frank, welcome to the forum and thanks for providing such a useful website. You are correct that despite Weeden making a large volume of engines, there is very little online info availability.
You have probably already made contact with Ken Trobaugh, an individual who has lots of Weeden info, but in printed form. He is a real gentleman and if you want to contact him I think I have his email address available. He was considered a world authority on the Weeden line when I was corresponding with him 4-5 years ago...I'm sure he'd welcome opportunity to input to your website in the spirit of keeping the info alive.
cheers and again welcome,
Roger

Thanks Roger, I have spoken to Ken Trobaugh, some of the photos on the site are his and his book is on the way.

Hi Frank, welcome to the forum! I have a model 44 (National Playthings) and a Weeden 672 (upright boiler), do you need pictures of these 2 engines?

Looking good!
I don't have any Weedens myself (mostly been scared off by tales of fragility), but they had a lineup diverse enough to rival the big German makers and so I'm always fascinated every time I see something on ebay that I've never seen before.
Weeden just keeps surprising me.
I didn't know that the Mighty Might was one of theirs. Seen a few disreputable looking ones on ebay and was always curious who made them, since they looked so Bowman'ish to me

I think the early Weedens were nice and solid, just the later ones were a bit frail.

Great site
The most complete site on Weedens I've seen. As Rog pointed out, it's surprising that so little info is out there for a company that was so prolific.
I have Ken Trobaugh's work (as stated a gentleman) but have have picked up additional information from your site,
I have a passion for the early American makers but have more Buckman models than Weeden models. Do you have any other info on Buckman or any other American makers?

Welcome to the forum Frank! Your site is very interesting and has certainly filled a gap. I know practically nothing about Weedens and I didn't realise that they produced so many models. Next time I see one on eBay I'll know where to look for more information. A great resource!
Tony, thats a very attractive part-engine that you have there. Have you tried it on compressed air?

There are several patent prints of Buckman engines on another site I have at:

One of the Buckman patented models from that site that I have is this highly patined example ( patent 1872) next to a Half Dollar engine.
Someday hope to get Fire pumper which is very close to a Weeden Pumper

Have you steamed them? Or any of your other Buckmans?
