What happens if you get bored...Well I got bored today, So I decided to knock up a little something. Not sure what I'm going to call it yet,
The little engine that I created is parts of mecano re painted and built onto a base. Possibilities are endless for that, could probably add some brass gears etc onto the flywheel axle.
I have also built a nice condensor for the engine, which prevents the chimney getting full of water.
It makes a wonderfurl vertical mamod engine, and ticks over at a lovely slow speed. Apologies the last couple of pictures are upside down.

very nice, what you've done there with the traction engine frame is what I was gonna do with a BAGRS loco I was building so I could get reverse gear.

You must have been very bored, Spandrew!
That looks excellent!
Will there be a video?

That looks really good. And I especially like how you glued it to the ceiling in the last pic. That's a great way of storing your engines when you run out of space on the shelf...

If you had fun modding it to it's present state, that is what matters most...enjoy!

I think that keeps the chimney from filling up with condensate too!

Leave it as it is, it's making you famous!
What sort of timber did you use for the base?
Looks like a nice piece of oak to me, correct me if I'm wrong.

The ceiling is a neat trick.!!!!!
Does the flame go down on the boiler when upside down?
All kidding aside, that is a very clever rigging job.
