What I've been up to. The Jack Mine Engine

Finally got my first steam engine completed.  Just completed in time for  my grandson's 6th birthday.
This is a Elmer Verburg design engine that you make from bar stock. Plans are available online and are free and many models are available.
I bought a cheaper imported lathe earlier this year and boy did I learn alot of What Not to Do.  I'm just happy that I never had to make a piece more than three times.

Looks impressive to me. There is a lot more to machine work than meets the eye, with the amount of experience you say you have, that shows a lot of talent.
