hello
mamod have been thinking mamod have made lots of limited edition but what is your favorite one
my favorite one is the samson traction engine
I loved it so much I got one
Dr. Rog
HI
The short boilered traction engine is cute. I have a black one from Forest classics. they are as powerful as a TE being the same in most respects, but more compact, like the Thomas the tank engine illustrations in the old books. Rather like the original SR.

I suppose its the MM twin for me, not a numbered limited edition, but limited in the numbers made and great.
For the modern ones its probably the Hamleys bus or delivery van- both different but not outrageously so, its just right IMHO.

I really like the all Brass Roadster from 1983 and the SL6 Mamod Jubilee Loco
To start a debate, should you run a Limited Edition? .... I have:

I do like the sort boiler TE but why dose mamod not make a double action pistion version

That brass roadster is very Toad of Toad Hall!
Whether a Ford or a Ferrari, whatever I can get to carry me near or far, just give me any car. I love to ride the Tar, an old Excalibar; yes, any motor car. And I'll be happy - ho-ho! Messing around in cars!
Oh, what dust clouds I shall make! What cars I shall fling into the ditch!

The boiler is not long enough to mount the extended frame for the fixed cylinder engine to be mounted

Then the first to do it will be unique.
It just needs shortening or the shaft moved back over the firebox with an adjustment to the flywheel to avoid a clash with the back wheel, eg a narrow one like the Wilesco.
Its so tempting.....

I too like the look of the short boilered TEs.
