What size screws are used to bolt mamod locos together?Does anyone know what size machine screws are used to bolt the cylinders and frames together on the Mamod Locomotive?
I imagine they are 6 BA or something...

Thanks for the quick reply! Now all I need to do is buy some 6BA Cheeseheads and another lot of taps and dies!
Isn't standardisation of screw threads great...**mumbles UNC, Metric, BSF...ME...**

I found great dificulty finding ba screws here in aus but i found a supplyer and he isnt to dear either.
all the main bolt suppliers only have me these days

6BAIf it is of any help, 6BA is the same pitch as American National Fine 4-48 and .002" smaller in diameter. So you can often tap out to 4-48 and use ANF fasteners.
Another useful one to know is that 0BA is the same as M6x1
