That's two questions for me. My first engine was a SEL Major, but that was 50 years ago and is long gone. The first in my current collection was a Mamod SL6 Jubilee edition.

First one I played with was my Dad's Weeden 14.
First steam engine that was mine was a Christmas gift around 1960. It was a black firebox Jensen 55. I still have it and I brought it back to life a few years ago.

No surprises - A Mamod Minor 1.
Aah, a lovely little engine, I remember seeing it in the toy shop window in 1977. Insufficient funds in my pocket, a sigh as I walked away to start saving up the money. I didn't manage to save up for it but Father Christmas had enough and the rest as they say is history!!

A Jensen 75. Bought it a few months ago. Sold it then bought a Jensen 25, then another 75, then a Jensen 45 brass boiler, then a Jensen 10-1951 all in a few months.
Very soon instead of blood will have steam running in my veins!
First steam engine I saw was almost 275 years ago, at school in 1975, the image has been in my head forever. Never thought I will ever have one.....now have 4 and scaryly growing.
