You probably should have kept it quiet...
It's missing a few bits, steam dome cover, coupling rods...
I paid around 60 for mine in what looked like worse condition. so alter your price around that mark.

I was going to bid on that, would have to convert it back to 32mm. Anyway, I have spent too much lately so I will leave it for you. I would have bid up to about £50 I think.

It was slightly better condition than mine
56 looks cheap to me, even with the missing bits

Something dodgy with that one as the seller cancelled all the previous bids a few minutes before thew auction ended. Probably accepted a buy it now price (no offence intended)

Seems fair could do with some spares!
I might be selling a few engines to get some cash back, G&G SE3, SE1a maybe the M101 and SLk1, might stick it in with a set and flog though... hmm that's an idea

Whats this worth??Saw this one on ebay, and thought it would be good for spares. However then noticed that bids were being cancelled.
So asked the seller the following question: -
'I notice that you are cancelling bids for this item saying that it is badly damaged and no longer for sale, however the listing has not been ended early.
Any pictures of the damage, are the chassis plates, smokebox and rear drag beam still intact? Would be useful as spares for my other locos.'
And his reply: -
Yes, you're quite correct. Unfortunately, a detailed inspection this afternoon revealed the damage (primarily distorted frames and a useless boiler), but eBay do not permit the withdrawal of an item when there are less than twelve hours to run (nor an amendment of the description).
I intend to work out which parts are salvageable, but in fairness will list these as a new item.
Sorry for the confusion caused.'
So there will be one upset winner!
Chris Cairns.

Not as upset as they would be if they end up buying a very damaged model that is no good at all.
I think the guys doing all he can and I'd rather he cancelled bids and relisted than sell something unfairly.
