I like good beverages and my engines like to sniff gas, others are alcoholics and then there is the pill chompers and we all know how addictive that is
I think moments for a lil' drink are more relevant and a cosy session with a fine cigarr or good pipe and a glass of napoleon with soothing music in the basckground is a great moment
(Don't mind some sandwiches with paté de fois gras to that )

On my electric ones no brainier on my fuel engines I like gas over any other means. You have so much better control over the heat then any other way on fuel engines no smell burns clean. I have two burners and it covers all my fuel engines.

Dangerous chemicals, bad smells, uncontroled flames, spillages....but thats what us little boys love

Dual purpose "fuel" I use in my otherwise meths consuming engines and locos because it smells a whole lot better!
If so inclined, with Grain alcohol you can safely make a mixed drink, something frowned upon with meths as it can kill or blind you

At the moment I just use fuel tablets, although I'd rather run engines on meths. I shall have to try and get my hands on some Mexican Coke, it sounds interesting.

Coca Cola in many countries outside of the USA is made with real sugar. That crappy high fructose corn syrup is used in most all soft drinks in the USA and most processed sweetened foods. So you might not need Mexican Coke. In the USA Mexican Coke is the easiest to find source of cane sugar in a beverage in many areas. The Whole Foods Market sells a house brand called "365" that uses 100% sugar cane sugar and tastes great. The USA still has idiotic protective tariffs on any imported cane sugar and right now we are sitting on a hugely substandard corn crop, much of which is being plowed into the ground to make room for something else as much of what is there isn't worth harvesting. All this while our administration sits on it's hands and does nothing to adjust the required uses of corn such as lifting sugar tariffs and removing our expensive corn liquor from our gasoline supply.

When I was much younger we use to take shots of 195 proof and chance it with beer then go ride motorcycles. Needles to say I use to party a week sleep a day now if I party a day I have to sleep a week so my parting days are pretty much over.

Alcohol, because it's cheap. (I wish they didn't put those nasty smelling chemicals in it.)
And if I'm in a nostalgic mood I use Esbit, I love the smell of Esbit.
Favorite drink: fruit juice. Boring eh?

I don't think fruit juce is boring and they shoud try to come up with an alcohole with out those nasty chemmicals MHS

I'm running my engine on meths and solid fuel, I'd like a gas burner but can't really afford one. As for beverages, cabernet sauvignon, or any red wine for that matter, just not beer - I hate beer

yeah those gas burners are expesive I think they price them that high becuase of the prices of engines when a lot of us get them used for reasonable prices on ebay as for the beverage good to know MHS

I love a good cuppa. Cider, Ale, Lagavulin or G&T if it has to be alcoholic. Don't drink alcohol very often though.

We like apple cider here but we don't get it with alcohol. It comes fresh from an apple farm a couple miles away. They make some of the best pies there too.
A glass of wine or a cold beer is all I need for alcohol.

I was an exchange student in 1984 in Brookfield, CT. I remember the fresh apple juice (cider) very well. Liked it warm with cinnamon as well as cold. Never tried proper scrumpy until we moved to the UK.

Ah yes..... warm with cinnamon or perhaps a little nutmeg is real good. On an icey cold day hot with cinnamon and a shot of rum in it was also good.

After some quick research, it turns out that Australian Coke is made with sugar, rather than HFCS. I seem to recall trying several imported American soft drinks, and I found that they all tasted like Listerine.

yeah the taste of sugar is sweet but the tast of corn syrup is bitter but thank god for the mexican sodas in this part of the US I can tell the story of corn syrup if any one is interested and mini steamer I've had a coca-cola zero from Austrailia thou I've never been there but would like to go MHS

I just checked and we have sugar in our Coke over here. But now I'm interested to know what American Coke tastes like.

For my engines it's gas (butane for refillable tank, propane otherwise), meths and one on electricity.
I've found they all have their advantages/disadvantages. I used esbit a couple of times and it was all disadvantages
I don't drink alcohol anymore. Mostly it's water, a lot of it at work and sometimes gatorade at work. Also the occassional ice coffee

Andrew, I wouldn't discard Esbit completely as despite being smelly, inefficient and leaving a residue reminding of a horrible disease...
...it still is better than nothing

For the engines, meths and solid fuel but i am going to treat myself to a gas burner for the D20, with it having a sight glass i'll be able to run it for longer without worrying about the water boiling dry, if i want an electric steamer i'll put the kettle on,
Fuel for me, vodka and coke, Stella Artois, draught beer, home brew beer, occasional white wine and copious amounts of tea and coffee when it's innapropiate to drink alcohol, ie, when i have to drive or work the next day,

The metho you buy at the hardware store is really ethanol with a bad taste added. Some people still want to drink it so ethanol is the safer choice from a health care perspective. Still don't drink it.
Methanol is racing car fuel usually only available in 44 gallon drums.
It looks and burns the same but you defiantly do not want to drink that.
I have seen the sprint car boys cook a barbeque over a burning tin of methonol.
