Hi Bege,
I think Fleischmann is one of those brands of German engines that came along AFTER the heyday of the Nuremburg engines like the Bings, Dolls etc. In fact, I think Fleischmann was the sole survivor of that period and eventually they were taken over by Wilesco.
I personally have ONE Fleischmann...a model 122/3 which I received on my 10th birthday...you can see it front and center on my website...still running and still looking good...so I have a warm spot for THAT Fleischmann, but have never really wanted another.
You can see mine here: www.indianarog.com
Now you have me wondering if anyone else on the forum has a Fleischmann????????????
cheers,
Roger

Bege, your Fleischmann might be one model higher/better than mine:
- yours has a boiler drain valve on the front, mine doesn't
- yours has an extra filler plug on the boiler top...mine fills only by removing the safety valve
- I think your boiler might be just a bit longer and higher capacity than mine
I agree...I like them...been liking mine for 46 years now
cheers,
Roger

I have one of the upright boiler models from my uncle, but I've never done anything with it because I'm not certain how safe it is; top of the boiler has a bit of a dent in it and it may or may not have been resoldered at some point...
Not too keen on blowing myself up --- again.

I have two Fleischmann accessories but no engines.
Fleischmann are rare in Australia and as such don't know much about them so haven't attempted to ever buy one off ebay.

Bege, the Fleischmann you have coming is gorgeous...it looks like it is brand new!!!
Perhaps more of us should give Fleischmann another look! We have another member who joined us recently from Germany...Dampfzauber I think is his online name, but we all call him Mirko. He has some gorgeous Bing and other old world German engines...just delightful stuff.
cheers,
Roger

Bege,
I've got 1 in my collection. As far as I know, Fleishmann only did 2 mobiles (155/1 and 155/2) and each of had 2 slightly different phases.
So the most I could hope to collect is 4 Steam Rollers.
Here's a couple of pics of mine. I love it and would add another if I could find one at the right price.

I saw a 135 at the swap meet where i got my bing, he had $225 on it, and it was in really good condition, but unfortunatly, i had only 75 in my pocket, i was about to ask him if he would take 75 for it
