Where does one buy parts, USAJust wondering, where does one buy parts in the USA? I see lots of places in Europe when I do a Google.
The reason I ask is that I almost ended up needing a part. The Crank disk came off on my D10 tonight, I got it pressed back on, but in doing so I bent the shaft slightly, I think I have it straight enough now, the pulley wheel or whatever you call it screws on. An interesting little ordeal, but all s well that ends well. Next time I might not be so lucky, plus I now see why some look down on Wilesco as that part never should just fly off

John,
www.ministeam.com (Great Toy Steam Co. in Ohio)
and
www.yesteryeartoys.com (Yesteryear Toys in NY)
These two are US possibilities for Wilesco parts.
But I find on small stuff, Forest Classics www.forest-classics.com can be even more convenient and better stocked...supplying parts to me on 4 days shipping on one occasion...usually a week or less is the norm on small packets and just 3-4 dollars for shipping. You will pay as much or more for shipping in the US!!! This low shipping rate only applies for small things like spring belts, flywheels, cranks, shafts, burners etc. which get air shipped in a padded envelope.
Large items (like a whole engine) will cost you a fortune in shipping from the UK to the US...usually 2X what it costs in the states.
cheers,
Rog
