Wilesco Substitute Chimney

I'm looking for a replacement chimney for a Fleischmann 135/2.

I have seen many Wilesco Chimneys advertised for sale, but only by model #, not by size.

The chimney is either 11" (28.1 cm) or 11 1/4" (28.6cm) long and has a base diameter of 1 1/8" (2.8cm)  tapering slightly toward the top.

The finish is unimportant as I can replicate the original.

Do not think any of the current Wilesco smoke stacks will fit your large engine Richard. My stack for the Wilesco D16 is only 172mm tall.

Only source I've found of these smoke stacks online in the UK is Chasteam - http://www.chasteam.com/wilescosparepartslist.htm Send him an e-mail as he does get some hard to find spares sometimes, and does not always list them on his website. However I note he does not seem to be doing the shows anymore, as he was not at STIA 2008, or Merstham Steam Rally 2008, both venues that I've seen his sales stand at in the past.

I intend getting one for my Fleischmann 120/4, and I need a condensed water tray for my Wilesco D16 as well.

I have been very fortunate as all of my Fleischmann engines have their chimneys. Although the135/2 seems to be very rare, keep your eyes open for a junk one on the Bay of E

I got the chimney for my engine from a smaller size fleischmann wich i found on ebay.
The chimney from the bigger fleischmann's seem to be identical...

... the D24's stack is 25,5 cm tall. Still might be a tic to short for your Fleischmann.

Thanks Guys,

Chasteam says he has one 11" tall by 1.5" diameter.  He didn't say which engine it comes from.  I've asked him for more details and a photo.

Thanks Tom,

1" difference,  10" overall,  Val says it wouldn't matter but I don't know that we're talking about the same thing.

Know what the diameter is? I wonder that Chas's 1.5"is going to look too chunky.

(God luck with EOTM )

Thanks Mirko,

I could trawl through the website but if you happened to remember the model # of the Fleischmann with the identical chimney that would be great.

Unfortunately,  more than any other type of engine, Fleischmann sellers rarely seem to know the model #s of the engine they're selling.

I've identified mine as the CA 1956 edition, the gold Fleischmann decal differentiates it from other years with the same features.
