THIS...IS...WILESCO!!!

... I've never seen anything like it. The base and red "pan" look exactly like the M52 two-wheeled grinder, 2 rows above. I think it's home-made, whatever it is.
Heck (imagine Tom slapping his forhead, crying "Heureka!"), now I've got it! It's a steam driven dentist's drill!
Easy, once you've found out ...
Chris

you wouldn't want to bend over near that!

Ill see what Mirko says first
Mister Occlusion

I've seen one of those somewhere before and it was described, I believe, as a polisher of some sort... personally I can't see it myself...

Well, well..i see it's again my turn

This is a quite rare wilesco driving model.
It was called "Biegsame Welle" wich means Flexion Wave...
It is driven from the under side, so you can twist the "head" in every position and you can bend the shaft.
The shaft is made of a stiffer, outer spring...in the inside it is a smaller, more flexible spring wich is spinning. On the top of the small sping is the grinding stone glued on.

I once had this thing, but selled it as i do not collect wilesoc driving models

Thanks Mirko. Id new you would save the day!

I want one!

Cheddar models supplied one of those (sort of-well it mixed drinks) to America. Ill find a pic

I have a similar one in the workshop (without the engine)
steamyjim

Here it is

toxx

... does that mean I was wrong?  T'is not a steam driven dentist's drill?
steamyjim

Naaa sorry Tom. Your idea wasnt right.

Would be good though
Reid

Tom was quite right after all.  At that scale, and with its grinding stone,

and when your dental crown comes loose....and you want to trim off the decayed cement,

and you are determined to re-fit it yourself, because it's Sunday and your dentist is on holiday,

there is no more-wanted Wilesco tool than the flexi-molar-mortar-grinder

(best driven by D10 or larger engine)

Question, while we are on Wilesco tools and such:

Does anyone here have or know the:

---

I want one, but I don't want to pay so much as that for something I've never seen.

Does it work nicely?
Does it look well?

(realizing these carnival toys are not everyone's cup of water or tea)

But  I want a water pumper and... since I like the Wilesco color wheel,
I might also like their whimsical water pump toy.

Opinions?  Anyone have one?  Who would have one in their collection?

... on me first look I was thinkin': "What on earth is this Wilesco tin guy doing?" Now I got it:
"... oil, that is. Texas 'T'"

If I get one, for realism I will tint the water green or tannic brown or.... oh, piss on the whole idea
Reid

OK.  Serious now (NOT)

I take it that none of you real men would have a Wilesco pump.
It's sort of childish looking.

OK.  So I must have one then.  And then I will Pimp My Pump.

Process: first repaint it and then bake it in the oven at 300F....

Wilescoman_123

Hello reid ,ive seen one in action works very well might get one my self ! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wilesco-Mod...oryZ27651QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem .
Quick question as mamod ever made one ?
Mister Occlusion

Reid:

I like the idea of a pump, but I'm not too crazy on the figures.. They just look a bit much on the macabre side of mannequins for me to be comfy with them.

I'm semi-looking out for an Empire pump, or maybe one of those fancy old Bing or Doll models that I see from time to time... Stuff without anthropomorphised (yes I like that word) bits of tin wagging in the wind at a scale 200mph
