The problem is, I need music for a video I'm doing, so I have to go onto Youtubem find the music, then plug the micin and hold my earphone to the mic so it records it

Audacity will let you edit the file so you can choose the parts you want instead of playing the whole thing through. I think you use the Iport feature for MP3s

If you want to download music then check out eMule http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/general.cgi?l=1 but of course only down load those tracks that you have legal entitlement to.
