I love the room of railway artefacts. There are so many fascinating models tucked away, piled up high on shelves and just out of reach. Some of the rolling stock models, wagons and a particularly nice double fairlie stood out on my last visit.

I spent a full day there and could have spent another, those pictures brought back some fine memories. I have been n many a Railroad Museum and do believe that one is the best, truly worthy of visiting even if you do not live near it.
Thank You for posting the pictures, if you have more please post them too.

Yorkshire is always worth visiting - visited the north york moors a couple of years back, the heather in full bloom, on the way stopped at Castle Howard to break the Journey, had left very early and arrived at Castle Howard, on a slightly misty morning, grass still wet with dew and first car in the car park.

Fantastic day there, ate lunch on the grass in shade of the car, later in the day upon arriving in Goathland, drove over a hump back bridge, negotiate some 3 in 1 hills and around the corner greeted by the wonderful sight of a steam locomotive shrouded with swirling steam as it departed - absolutely Magic!
