I'm enjoying every minute.
The response from our members has once again been fantastic.
We're only really starting, and already there's a feast of quality engines, pics and videos out there that would make any toy steam enthusiast drool.
I'm off to see some more.

Was away last year and missed the lot. This then is my introduction to STWWW - WOW what a great event. I find it very informative as well as entertaining. Next best thing to being at an event - no thats not right - its better as you get to see a far greater range as we are truely GLOBAL. Well done to all who have made it possible. And it's only the first 24 hours - whats to come?

Like Barry, I missed out last year too.
I am just thrilled at seeing all what is going on. I've never been to a toy steam event like STIA, but this online thing is just perfect.
You can browse at leisure, don't miss seeing displays or a specific engine steaming because you are elsewhere. Even the social aspect of it, the chat, the comments, etc is brilliant.
Last but not least, the event and this forum just shows how one thing, this hobby, can bring together people from all over the world from all backgrounds, and have a great time
Edit: Just realised how busy this event is keeping people. I haven't checked my emails/ebay saved searches etc for just over 24hrs. I wonder if there are steam bargains going on ebay while we are busy here

We are being treated to an unprecidented display of engines and accessories, just imagine what it would be like if we ever managed to all meet with our collections in person.

I'm particularly pleased with the way members are drip feeding their contributions on to the tables as it gives everyone a chance to browse at their leisure.

It's just fantastic! But it's impossible to do anything else this weekend. "Are you going to sit at that computer all day???" Yes, quite possibly!

Really fantastic!!!. It's hard to keep up with all the stunning videos. I think it may be a very long night tonight ... better open the Single Malt.

At first I thought it was going to be a bit embarrasing, I'm not too good at taking videos or making good scenarios.
But, as the days have progressed, I've realised whatever you've got is good enough.
The standard of some of the pics and videos are amazing, and I am realllly starting to enjoy it!
Well done everyone!

The amount of posts, the engines that are appearing and the amount of work members have put in is just overwhelming , I am very glad to be a part of it though. Well done everyone.

Hi you all;
I felt pleased to put a few pics into the locoshed as this have been the nicest shots I have. Most of them had been spoiled by my instant tremor I have to deal with since my childhood. The quality of photoshots and videos is tremendous here and I wish mine could compete a little bit.
Otherwise I know hereīs a friendly group of steam enthusiasts who say a big warm welcome to anyone interested in the live steam hobby and thatīs the reason to be here ! I am glad to know you !
Thanks for your friendship and patience

While events like STIA are great for those who can attend, STWWW is in many ways better. We can peruse the "tables" at our leisure, go back over and over to those we are extra interested in and see engine photos and videos we would have never seen otherwise. Sure helps with the future "want list" to be able to window shop in such a manner.
Our mods and judges deserve our praise and thanks for once again pulling off something unlike anything else in the steam world...literally from around the world.
I've gotta go back to the tables...they keep growing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think both Rog and Dervard summed it up well with the following quotes...
While events like STIA are great for those who can attend, STWWW is in many ways better
But, as the days have progressed, I've realised whatever you've got is good enough.
I couldn't agree more with both comments. The main thing is those who particpated and viewed, had a lot of fun

Super Fun!
I am having fun looking at all the engines. I don't really have the space for a collection, so I only have the one engine, but I feel like I have been playing with dozens of engines this weekend. I wish I lived closer to some other enthusiasts, but this is pretty fun too.

My weekend has been mainly spent in the office at work (here just now) where the computer blocks photos and videos.
However reading all your comments in the chat shed is very nice. Really looking forward to catching up on what I've missed.
It's incredible the amount of activity that has been generated by this event - truly breathtaking. Brings a great sense of happieness to be part of something so international and good.

Unfortunately I've not been able to contribute much today due to one thing and another. Sorry.
I've got a few hours to make up for lost time ... lots of videos to watch, posts to read. I think I'll be browsing well after the event has closed.
It has been a fantastic two days!!! Thank you everyone.

I felt too "new" to the forum to show anything, but wow what an incredible selection of engines, I look forward to the next one!
Love the pub chat !

I didn't set up a table.
I wasn't that sure of what to expect of the STWWW and having already posted pictures of many of my engines wasn't sure that I could make a meaningful contribution to the event
After seeing some of the imaginative displays of other members I now know better
I have really enjoyed discovering the distinctive flavour of individual collections and how they reflect the individuality of their owners. The displays have been more than the sum of their parts.
(I hope my fellow collectors will understand what I am trying to say but poorly expressing )
The efforts of this years STWWW have been inspiring and my mind is now humming with ideas about how I might contribute next year.

Glad to hear it Lozza.
I want more Dioramas next year. Steam Granny's was just great.
