Mine is still an option if you want it Wallace, I'll only charge a few quid or you could respray yours

I am thinking of yours mate. I will try a re-spray first.
If it was just blackened, I'd leave alone, but all the small blistering and large bare patches won't be good in the salt air here.
I do have a rustproofing liquid, but turns bare metal black, and it needs surface rust to work, not clean metal.

That's no problem Wallace, it's there if you want it

You need to cover up the bare metal for sure though so a respray would be a good idea . Make sure it's heat proof

Cheers Yosa.

Didn't put it together today.
Going to strip back base tomorrow after work, clean up, paint, then I'll fire it after it's all done

Finally finished it and it's running.
Tcut (or similar product) didn't work. Base was blackened top and bottom in same area, so some severe heat.
Painted the base, and fired it 3 times today.
Runs well. Filling to overflow plug, the engine primes. Whistle leaks slightly.
But happy with it, and it's going on to ebay now

The poor condition base

re-sprayed and back together, after 3 steamings

Nice job Wallace.

You'll make a bob or two on that one I've no doubt.

Maybe you could start a little buisiness with the prices being so high over there.

That's a really nice, understated refurb Wallace. Nice one.

I hope you are taking a leath from Pendragons book and listing paintwork as perfect no scratches. (Well it is, you didn't say anything about it being original. )

It was a totally honest listing, perhaps too honest.
I received my other SE2 today, to sell. Not happy at all.
Will post a rant shortly
