Just a quick update-
I have cut away a section in the footplate to allow the firebox to go through.
And today the tanks arrived, Many thanks to Harry from the North Downs Light Railway

I didn't realise that the saddle tank is going to hold water for the feed pump. How much insulation would you need under there, I imagine it will get a lot of heat from the boiler. _________________

been a very very long time since my last post on this topic.
I have now
Replaced the old rods, bearings and eccentrics with brand new ones. Thankfully it all works fine! infact it works jsut as it did before i replaced all the old worn out bits with new ones.... i cant tell if thats god or bad.
i have also fitted the cross head pump, regulator, clack,
other small bits like the fire grate, piping and fittings i have, but havnt fitted, i probably would have if macc models had sent me the flux i ordered.
pictures to follow _________________
