Granny? Nick? |
I was told the boiler is about the size of a MM1's boiler. |

Here's some information on the L4 & L5:
http://www.freewebs.com/organgrinders/steamtoys/latimer.htm
(It also tells about the boiler size) |

Thanks for the link, Nick.
Well, that's interesting...except for the different base,
the L5 looks just like one of my Luton Bowmans. _________________ -Chuck

How do you keep the cylinder oiled?

With difficulty!
In fact, it's quite easy to squeeze a little in between port face & cylinder before run & more or less accurately drop a dab on top during, if needs be. It'll all come out again when running, though & spray everywhere, thus I advise a large towel for a tiny engine |

Sorry, was wandering about on other threads
Don't have a MM1 for comparison but my L4 boiler measures 3.7 cms X 8.9 cms or 1 1/2" X 3 1/2 ". My little Doll overtype has roughly same size boiler but manages to look bigger because of superstructure etc. |

Only 1 1/2" X 3 1/2"?!?
I have never seen an MM1, but that seems really small.
I can't wait to get it now. |

Chuck, you're right about the L5 looking like a Luton, I've always thought that too!
I've posted these pictures before, but any excuse is welcome. Here are my L4 and L5:

I was thinking just the opposite.
And there is an L5 ending shortly. |
