Yes    and then we can add a flywheel of the month. whistle of the month, restoration otm, original otm, and how about a safety relief valve of the month (LOL and grin).  The engine of the month as it is has been working fabulously well. Rather than adding additional contests,
I am guessing it would be quite easy to start a thread or two that would specifically be set up to post pictures of the not quite ready for prime time stuff or more specific things such as engine driven accessories and the like. This way everyone who has something to show will be able to make a welcome contribution. If at some point the whole thing morphs into a poll, that will be fun too.

Maybe see what the August EOM brings, but Im sure that Roly is onto something here. Only problem I can forsee is judging whether an engine is £100 or less- Mooses Wormar was (I think) £20,  but yet it is probably a shade over £100, and what about Wilsons- some are under some over.

Other categories are self explanatory.

One interesting point is that Mamod has only ever won once, yet most of us own at least one.

Some peoples engines are one owner from new in the 1930s.. .. Im sure they were under £100 then

Atticman, you have to be joking. Is that correct?

With all the great Mamods out there.

As I said earlier I know there are a few nearly mint SR1s and TE1s out there.  That could be one of the themes.  I have an entry in this category and I know of at least four others.

I really wonder if the EOTM isnt where many vote on the engine they wish they had. Since most have at least one Mamod, it makes sense that one might vote for the ones that win. Nothing wrong with that either.

Just to throw something else in could be a Collection of the Month.
Not necessarily the biggest but possibly the most diverse.

That would make it easy for Tony, he could enter your name at the beginning of the month and take a break for 30 days.

Unless, of course, Manx was to make a run at it.  But mobiles alone might not win on diversity.

Gil's collection is great, but once again, dominated by Jensen's.

James, MM and others are also in there, but again diversity may be an issue.

Your biggest competition is probably Big Al's dining room.

I have to think of something where I have a chance of winning.

Surely there must be some very diverse collections out there??

Fleischmann
Jensen
Bing
SteamCo
SEL
Bowman

Maybe more

MMs is just all Mamod though

Richard- here is a thread of the past winners
http://modelsteam.myfreeforum.org/about7473.html

Only Mamod is MMs SE4
I think the comment that people vote for what they would like to have is probably the main reason, as well as the photo itself which seems to be an important factor.

I Am sourcing an appartment in Monaco for my next entry- has a good seaview balcony, with a marble plinth
