A little bare at the mo, but keep your eyes out, as I will be adding all weekend!
mamod MM1s up first They are my favourites in many ways, so small yet still pack some power.
This is my favourite, quite a rare flatbase- only around just post war,
the MM1 raised base came out earlier than the the rest of the Mamod range.
The MM1s have 9 holes except these flatbases- which have 10.

Few more now,
MM1 disc crank late 40s to early 50s.
This came from Canada (many thanks Mr O) .
It looks to have barely been steamed
I have another 2 disc cranks, but one is chimneyless and the other a mess
Later 1950s. Here the logo added, first red mamod logo
I think this is early 60s
Odd as the firebox has professionally looking indents at the top
Note the fly is now mazac metal on the edge, the 1950s fly is all red.
On the right, a late 70s model.
This has a small vap burner, and is fitted with a drainplug.
Heath and safety starts to play
The last MM1s had a smaller version of the solid fuel burner |

I like the Minor 1. It's simple and effective. I remember when I got my first MM1 and I opened the box and thought, ok where is the rest of it?
It was the first model to gain a rasied base and the last to stop using the wick burner. Makes for an interesting model amongst collectors.Possibly another variation with that strange firebox you have? I can't think why anyone would press that outside of the factory, unless they were ordered from outside and they were trying something different?
Ive not seen many flatbase MM1's either which is strange as in theory they were the cheapest model to buy, but I guess they were brought into the range at a later date at a troubled time in Britain. _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode
You could get a nice flatbase for that

Onto Mamod MM2s now, out early this morning clicking,
I gather its due to be wet later
First 2 flatbases, and greedy me has a 3rd on its way.
Trouble is its no good just having one flatbase
theres a standard boiler brass wheeled,
tubular boiler brass wheeled one
and a mazak wheeled flatbase.
This is the unusual non standard end cap one
It is still very grubby
The Mazak wheel, note its thicker compared to later ones
Next up is 2 1960s vap burner MM2s.
This one has a radioactive green frame
Its not original, theres paint on the middle of the crank.
I have to assume the red mamod crank isnt either
the other MM2 of similar age has a copper coated crank
(It is magnetic, so steel underneath
The first vap burners are lovely brass ones,
This needs a bit of cleaning, charcoal isnt patination in my book.
Here is a late 1970s one, its not got a filler plug,
But it is i think a tray solid fuel one.
The cut out part allows the direct heat of the solid fuel
not to burn the red paint.
My last MM2 is a beauty, only 1 owner who swears only once fired.
This is likely to be true judging by condition
Its a sight glass one, quite unusual I believe.
Boxed as well
Dual nationality safety
Finally all in a row
