I couldn't resist it. I had to open my table.

I too will be feeding my exhibits in over the full weekend.

Sandmans Mobiles.

Firstly, I do have one or two mobiles. Not many, but I've decided to start my table with some pics of the few I do have.

The first engine I ever owned was a Wilesco black and brass TE kit that I built myself.

I'm really proud of this one and it gets pride place in my living room.

The second is an almost mint boxed Mamod TE1A. I always wanted one as a kid and now I've got a beauty.

The third is a Mamod SA car that is just as I got it from ebay. It is one of the first made and I have to say I'm very fond of it.

So lets get my table up and running. Here they are.

Superb mobiles Sandy.

You don't quite realise how similar the mamod TE and Wilesco are untill they are put side by side! I remember assembling my Wilesco and some of the bits were a right pain in the backside!

Yep, anyone buying a kit should be prepared for a lot of fiddley work, but it's worth it in the end.

I wasn't going to post my first video till tomorrow, but I'm loving this, so here's the first Sandman Steam production.

Luton Bowman PW 202 Overtype.

This is an engine you don't see much.

I owe my ownership of this one to my mate MM, who PMd me with details of a ridiculously low bin on ebay. I snapped it up there and then. Thanks MM.

The engine is as I got it, and I've never touched it. The large pulley is an addition and the chimney may not be quite right.

So here is my last exhibit for now.

Are you going to keep your brass Wilesco all shiny or are you going to let it fade??

It's never been steamed Les,so it's got it's original lacquer finish.

It's shelfer, so it should keep its looks for sometime.

Jeez guys, I' got so busy wandering through the tables I neglected my own.

Right, next up on my table is the German connection which consists of two Marklins and a cracking Fleischmann 125-2.

The largest Marklin I bought at the STIA last year, and the other two came courtesy of ebay.

The big Marklin has a resto chimney and has at one time been repainted. The job was done quite tastefully so I've decided to leave it.

The Marklin vertical has the wrong chimney as well but it looks good, and thus stays with the engine.

The Fleischmann is in such good nick, that I'm loath to steam it, so you'll have to wait for that one I'm afraid.

So here are some pics of my three Germans.

My Three Germans.

Sandy, it it possible to have a picture of the 125/2 burner as it looks to be a Mamod one from the handle.

I'll try Les.

I'll be very let down if it is as the rest of the machine is in great nick.

I would say that is a Mamod pellet burner, it's for the SP range I think but hopefully someone with an SP engine can confirm that, the Fleischmann burner is a shorter version of the third one down.

Certainly looks that way Les.

This is the only Fleischmann I have so I've nothing to compare it with.

Mirko will be able to shed some light on it I'm sure.
