I thought I would start with some British engines, I know some of you have seen these before but it saved me having to take more pictures.
SEL Four Sides Bases.
SEL Two Sided Bases.
All eight.

To go with the German engines I have a couple of German accessories.
These ones are Arnold and after I photographed them I realised I for got to put one in which is why it is on its own.

Up until now the Wilson has been gutless when it came to driving anything but I gave it another go and this is the result.

Wonderful
Is there any significance to the base types on the SEL engines? _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode

There doesn's seem to be so as there are also red two and four sided bases which some have the SEL logo and some have the Merit logo.
Infact the lineshaft I have has a Merit sticker on the base but it was in a SEL box, both being brand new and have never been used. _________________ Les - Nolo Servile Capistrum

| Presumably the simpler bases were introduced for economic reasons? I bet it didn't save much! |

To be honest I have no idea but with the SEL/Merit variations it means there is another 16 to collect to make those sets and I am rapidly running out of room. _________________ Les - Nolo Servile Capistrum

| Those three are great! The last one has a very art-deco look, and I like it very much. How big is it? Not very, I guess. |
