Just read in the bible that the SE4
Runs at 2000 revelutions per minute
Any one know how the other mamods do in comparison ?
Would be interesting to see a league table....

In another section recently there was discussion about tachometers.
Would be interesting to see what some of the models average out to.

I agree, it would be interesting.

Mike, you have the SE4. In your opinion does it seem to run faster or slower than other engines you have. Just as an idea?

Since you do have the SE4, perhaps you could make a simple meccano thinghy with gears. Something that we could all build.

Gear it so a large pulley spins slowly when hooked up to an engine.

Then if you hook up your SE4, take notes, you could then hook up other engines and with a bit of simple math work out RPM.

Just a thought?

From what ive seen, I think the SE3 might be a tad faster, but i'm not too sure

Thats a good idea with the Meccano Wallace
Ill have to get some cogs, we could do with
Someone building a simple Standardised setup
Which we can all copy, and hopefully all get the same results
I only have a few bits of Meccano,
So Im out of the building for the moment..........
I have to agree with Mike and MM though that the SE3
Looks to be the fastest.
