As the title say's - I've just won the bidding on this little item, not sure if it is meths or solid fuel yet, but I decided the overall condition of the engine was worth stumping up for.

Cheers,

A minter, but I think just a tad over the odds. I personally wouldnt have gone higher than £60, but then again, thats my opinion Can't wait for the pics and vids of it running when you get it

I'm a little in agreement with MTA, it was over the price I ideally wanted to pay, but nothing else on ebay this weekend has come close to the condition this engine was in, so I threw in the extra cash to get it.

Thanks to MM for the burner tray suggestion, I will get one of those on order - I presume it will work with the older TE1A's without any other modification.

Now I just need to get some meths & i'll be off like a rocket. (story of my life )

Cheers,

TSC.

TE1a's in that sort of condition are worth between 80-100 pounds. It's on the money 100% mate!

You may have paid more than you wanted for it, but i'm confident if you put that back on ebay tomorrow you could get the same and maybe more.

Trust me!

No modifications needed, just put it in the back of the firebox and away you go

I think it was a good buy personally, especially in that condition.
As others said, it is solid fuel fired, and if you can't get hold of an original burner, try one of the ones I mentioned in the other thread. Or should I say one of the other repro ones that are recommended for a mobile

Good luck
